After loading the subtitles and media file:

  • Click the subtitle text or timestamps to edit your captions.
  • Click the icons to add, merge or delete subtitles.
  • Drag the dashed borders on the waveform to change the subtitles' time stamps.
  • Remember to click "Save SRT" to save the subtitles when you finish editing!

Shortcuts:

  • space to play/pause the video.
  • tab to edit the current subtitle text.
  • ↑ and ↓ to jump to the previous/next subtitle.
  • shift + enter to split the subtitle text at the cursor position when editing it.
  • shift + backspace to merge the current subtitle with the previous one.
  • ctrl + z (Windows) or ⌘ + z (Mac) to undo, ctrl + shift + z (Windows) or ⌘ + shift + z (Mac) to redo.
