After loading the subtitles and media file:

  • Click the subtitle text or timestamps to edit your captions.
  • Click the icons to add, merge or delete subtitles.
  • Drag the dashed borders on the waveform to change the subtitles' time stamps.
  • Remember to click "Save" to download as .srt / .vtt / .txt / .csv when you finish editing!

Shortcuts

  • space to play/pause the video.
  • tab to edit the current subtitle text.
  • ↑ and ↓ to jump to the previous/next subtitle.
  • shift + enter to split the subtitle text at the cursor position when editing it.
  • shift + backspace to merge the current subtitle with the previous one.
  • alt (Windows) / option (Mac) + 1–4 to switch subtitle tracks if you have multiple tracks.
  • ctrl (Windows) / ⌘ (Mac) + z to undo, ctrl (Windows) / ⌘ (Mac) + shift + z to redo.
